Haiti education minister takes on new role at GPE

Nesmy Manigat, Minister of education and vocational training of Haiti, was recently appointed chair of the GPE Board Committee on governance, ethics, risk and finance (GERF).  In this role, he will lead the committee’s efforts to mobilize additional resources to finance education in partner countries, among other activities.

It is estimated that $39 billion per year is needed from external funding sources to ensure that every child gets a quality pre-primary, primary and secondary education by 2030.
